Sonotube Void Forms Installation Guide

Storage

Sonotube void forms should be kept dry before using:

• Store in a vertical position or on a platform six inches above ground
  to avoid moisture.
• Cover ends to keep out snow or rain.
• If tube is in position and pouring is delayed, cover with a waterproof tarpaulin.
• Do not pour if any part of the tube is wet.

Placement

• Pour concrete to minimize movement of tubes.
• Vibrating will ensure a smooth soft fit and encourage concrete to fill any gaps.
• Vent tubes over 18” OD to release air and prevent excess pressure.

Spacing and holding down

To prevent flotation and shifting of forms when concrete is poured, lay Sonotube void forms in place and anchor securely.
